Statistics is the “technology” capable of transforming data and information into knowledge. Thus, the statistician is the active protagonist of the knowledge society.

The Faculty of Statistics prepares students to bring this science into their professions thanks to educational programmes, which combine the methods of statistics together with the substantive domains. Among them, the most traditional ones such as Economics, Business Management, Actuarial Science, Finance, Population and Social Research Studies and those recently developed such as Bio-Statistics, Environmental Statistical Science, Information Technologies and Decision-Making Strategies.

Statistical subjects are becoming very popular. They are now seen as innovative engines to manage businesses and institutions in these times of risks and uncertainty.
