GENERAL INFORMATION
I would like to spend an Erasmus period at Sapienza University: what should I do?
You can apply for an Erasmus period at Sapienza University, only if your University established an agreement with us: we suggest you to contact your Erasmus Office in order to get further information about our cooperation and about your application as an Erasmus student.
Once you have been selected from your University, in order to register you as Erasmus incoming student at Sapienza, we need an official nomination. By "official nomination" we mean a communication from your home University (addressed to spi@uniroma1.it), informing us that you have been selected to spend an Erasmus period at our University.
After receiving your nomination, we will process your data and let you know.
Is there any chance to study at Sapienza University as free mover student or as international student?
Our Office only deals with the Erasmus programme, which involves European Universities. Therefore, we suggest you to contact the Hello Office (hello@uniroma1.it).
ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
I am filling my online application form and I do not know what should I write in the “Study Project” field.
You are supposed to fill in the “Study Project” field with the courses you are going to attend at our University during your Erasmus period.
If you need more information about the courses, you can contact the Erasmus responsible of your receiving Faculty.
Where can I find information about academic calendar, syllabus and exams?
In order to get information about academic calendar, syllabus, exams, etc. you need to contact the Erasmus responsible of your receiving Faculty, since didactics is managed at a Faculty level.
I forgot to fill in my application form or some data are missing, is it possible to enter it again?
Your application form will be active for 30 days after your registration: if it expires or you need to enter it again, email spi@uniroma1.it explaining the problem and we will reactivate it.
I did not print my application form, is it possible to enter it again?
If you need to print your application form again, email spi@uniroma1.it and we will reactivate it.
ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES
I would like to take part in a course of Italian language: how can I enrol in it?
In order to enrol in the Italian language courses, you need to fill in the proper section of your online application form, within our deadlines.
Students with a beginner level of Italian are suggested to enrol in the intensive courses starting in September (60 hours). The dates for the Placement Test will be published on our web page, together with the Instructions.
After registering for the test, you will receive a confirmation message, that you have to print and bring with you the day of the test.
I am going to take the placement test of Italian language, but I do not know when courses are starting.
The exact beginning of the course is decided only after the Placement Test. Courses usually start soon after the placement test, but if you need further details, you can contact the Erasmus Coordinator of the courses (at corsierasmus@uniroma1.it).
STUDENTS’ DOCUMENTS
How can I get my Letter of acceptance?
The Letter of acceptance is issued by the Faculty: when the Erasmus responsible of your receiving Faculty gets your documents, he/she will provide you with your Letter of acceptance. For information about the above-mentioned document, please contact the Erasmus responsible of your receiving Faculty.
I sent my documents (application form, learning agreement, transcript of records) but I did not receive any confirmation: how can I check their receipt?
You are supposed to send your documents to the Erasmus Office of your receiving Faculty, therefore you should contact the Erasmus responsible of your Faculty in order to know if he/she received your papers.
Please, note that it usually takes a long time before the documents are delivered to the right office.
Where should I go once arrived in Rome in order to get my Erasmus student card and the Erasmus documents?
Once arrived in Rome, you have to complete the registration process at the Erasmus Office of your receiving Faculty: please, note that it is absolutely necessary to register at the arrival in Rome; otherwise, you will not be able to take exams.
ACCOMMODATION
How can I find accommodation in Rome?
Unfortunately, Sapienza University does not provide students with accommodation.
You could look for a room in the private market: together with a login code to fill in an online application form, you will receive (by e-mail) a username and a password to access the advertisements of the Erasmus Student Network, which arranges the "Progetto Casa" (info@esn-roma.it).
Other advertisements are published by Laziodisu – Agenzia degli Affitti and AffittoRoma.it
SAPIENZA WI-FI
How can I access Internet for free?
Wireless internet access is available in various campus areas (classrooms, libraries, study halls, outdoor spaces) using your registration number and your password (the same you use for Infostud services). You can identify the covered areas by the logo “wi-fi zone".
DIDACTICS and INFOSTUD SERVICES
How can I enrol in exams?
In order to enrol in exams, you should access the Infostud service using your registration number (“matricola”) and your password. When you close your online application form, you will receive your registration number and your password by e-mail.
I did not receive my registration number (“matricola”) and my password for Infostud: how can I get them?
