The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) has recently approved the PROMETHEUS project as part of the 'HEI Initiative - Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education' call

The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) - an independent EU body and part of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation - has recently approved the PROMETHEUS project.  A network of Universities, Research Centres and enterprises, including Sapienza, will implement the project as part of the "HEI Initiative - Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education" call.

PROMETHEUS will strengthen Sapienza's scouting and entrepreneurship training activities and expand the innovation and entrepreneurship services offered to students and academic staff.

In particular, the project aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • to improve teaching curricula on innovation and entrepreneurship;
  • to develop innovation and entrepreneurship training programmes for staff and students;
  • to collaborate with existing EIT structures and in particular with KICs - Knowledge & Innovation Communities;
  • to create an innovation ecosystem, together with local companies and institutions.

The project is part of the EIT's Knowledge Innovation Community (KIC) Manufacturing and collaborates with the Digital and Climate KICs, promoting technology transfer of university-generated innovations in the digital, green and circular economy.

PROMETHEUS is a project with a solid interdisciplinary and strategic value that involves numerous Departments, Faculties and Centres of our University.
