The FREE project: Mental health and academic achievement among LGBTQI+ university students
On Thursday, February 25, Roma Tre University hosted the final event of the PRIN 2022 project Fostering the Right to Equality in Education (FREE): Mental health and academic achievement among LGBTQI+ university students, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU.
The event was dedicated to presenting the results of the FREE research on affirmative action policies and the promotion of well-being in universities. Speakers included research teams from Sapienza University of Rome and Roma Tre University, together with the Prisma and Marielle student groups, which actively participated in the project.
The main results of research on the psychological well-being and academic progress of LGBTQIA+ individuals within university contexts will be presented, highlighting critical issues, resources and best practices. The contributions will also offer reflections on the implications for affirmative university policies and for interventions to support the well-being of the student population.
