Mourning the passing of Francesco Vizioli
Rector Antonella Polimeni, on her own behalf and on behalf of the entire Sapienza community, extends her deepest condolences on the passing of Maestro Francesco Vizioli, founder of MuSa Classica and its Artistic Director for 17 years. His passing leaves a profound void within the MuSa family and across our entire university community.
A conductor of outstanding expertise and a musician of great rigour and generosity, Francesco Vizioli built and nurtured an invaluable part of our University's cultural life. Under his leadership, an orchestra born of the Sapienza community's shared passion for music grew into an ensemble of exceptional artistic quality, performing an ambitious repertoire and engaging in productions and collaborations of the highest calibre.
"I extend my heartfelt sympathy," said Rector Antonella Polimeni, "to his family, his loved ones, the musicians of MuSa, and to all those who shared with him a journey of personal, artistic and professional growth."
