The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) has published the Call for Proposals (In Italian) aimed at renewing the Executive Programme for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Italy and Vietnam for the 2027–2029 period. The call provides funding for joint research projects in the following priority areas:

• Advanced biomedical and pharmaceutical technologies, Healthcare;
• Green transformation: Circular economy, clean energy, advanced environmental and waste treatment technologies, climate change adaptation, efficient resource use and ecosystem conservation;
• ICT technologies: AI, high-performance computing (HPC), quantum technology, semiconductors and next-generation mobile networks (5G/6G)

Project proposals must be jointly developed by the Italian and Vietnamese Principal Investigators (PIs) and submitted to their respective ministries. The Italian PI must submit the application exclusively through the MAECI online portal.

Application deadline: August 10, 2026, 12:00 (noon).

Each Italian PI may submit only one project proposal and must also upload to the MAECI portal the Letter of Endorsement (available in the attachments section of this page), duly signed by the University's legal representative (the Rector).
