Mobility Manager

Sapienza has a Mobility Manager to help the university develope sustainable mobility politics (decrete of the Minister of Enviroment n. 27 from 1998).

Sapienza University promotes sustainable mobility to safeguard the enviroment discouraging the abuse of private and polliting means of transport and supporting innovative solutions to reduce a negative enviromental impact. Moreover are encouraged initiatives to connect with the mobility of the municipality of Rome, promoting coordination with the Roma Capitale area mobility manager and the mobility manager network of the other universities.

Velostazione project for the PLUMS (Sustainable mobility plan)

Sapienza university promotes the placement of bicycle parking areas with anti-theft equipment, protection canopies, drinking fountains, information on cycling, charging columns for electric bicycles.
The purpose is connecting Sapienza’s structures with cycling services, helping students and staff moving from one structure to the other, and creating synergies with other projects promoted on platforms like W:eb: Way Endless Bikelane whose purpose is filling the whole city of Rome with bicycle parkings and cycle lanes.
