National and Local Calls

Scientific research is mainly funded by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR), but also by other ministries such as the Ministry for Economic Development, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policy.

In addition, the Lazio Region also publishes several calls directly managed by Lazio Innova.

One of the main tasks of the Fund-Raising Office is to facilitate the dissemination of calls and to support the drafting of project proposals.

The list (in Italian) of the MUR FISR 2020 Covid call for proposals for the SH - LS and PE units has been published.

On April 30, 2021, the Ministry of University and Research published the rankings of projects eligible for funding in the SH - LS and PE sectors under the FISR call for proposals for research of particular strategic importance, aimed at addressing the new needs and issues raised by the spread of the SARS-Cov-2 virus and the Covid-19 infection.

The contribution is a non-repayable grant covering up to 80% of the eligible costs of the project.

The duration of the projects shall not exceed 4 years, and the end date of the Piano Operativo Salute shall be December 31, 2025.

Applications may be submitted from midnight on February 24, 2021, to midnight on May 25, 2021.

As the calls allow only one application per proposer, applications must be sent by April 23, 2021, to ufficioricerca@uniroma1.it to identify proposals to be submitted.
