Eligible Students

All students enrolled in Bachelors, Masters, Single Cycle, and PhDs, as well as university professors, are eligible candidates.

  • International Student Mobility may last from 3 to 12 months, as determined by each individual country. The Erasmus+ ICM Scholarship is for full-time studies, including doctoral thesis work for PhD students.
  • International Mobility for Academic Staff is 7 to 21 days.

The length of individual mobility periods depends on the destination and is indicated in the call published by Sapienza University. Generally, mobility scholarships are provided for no more than six months per each candidate.

The Erasmus+ ICM Project provides select students and doctoral candidates with a scholarship (€700/month) plus coverage of travel expenses. Academic staff is allowed a maximum of €180/day (up to the maximum period, including two travel days) regardless of the destination country.

Scholarships are paid in three instalments: 50% at the beginning of the mobility period (after signing the financial agreement), 30% after the first 45 days and 20% at the end of the mobility period. Your host university will provide assistance with visa procedures and housing.

All scholarship winners will be able to attend university courses and enjoy all services provided by the host university without having to pay any additional tuition fees. Moreover, all study activities carried out abroad will be recognized and participants will earn the agreed credits for their work.
