Awards Ceremony - Graduation and Doctoral Theses on Disabilities

On Friday, January 11, at 11 am, the awards ceremony for the graduation and doctoral theses on disabilities will be held in the Aula Organi Collegiali. The awards are promoted by the Fondazione Roma Sapienza and the Right to Study and Academic Programmes Area (https://news.uniroma1.it/11012019_1100).

The Office for Disabled Students and Students with Learning Disabilities has moved to the Ground Floor of the Law Building (entrance around the back) on the main university campus (Piazzale Aldo Moro, 5).

You can find us using the “virtual tour” service (http://virtualtour.uniroma1.it/) that will navigate you straight to our office, or, if you prefer,  you can download a map.

Our office is located in Building CU002.

Opening ceremony of new premises dedicated to students with Physical Disabilities and Learning Disabilities

Monday 28 January, at 3.30 pm, on the ground floor of the Building CU002 (map), there will be the opening ceremony of new premises dedicated to students with disabilities and with DSA, psychological counseling and presentation of opportunities for traineeships and placements aimed at University students and graduates. 

The ceremony will be opened by the rector Eugenio Gaudio and the general manager Simonetta Ranalli. During the presentation of the new spaces will intervene the delegate of the Rector for Initiatives in favor of students with disabilities Anna Paola Mitterhofer, the coordinator of the control room of orientation and placement Bartolomeo Azzaro, the director of the Department of Dynamic and Clinical Psychology Renata Tambelli and the Director of the Academic Programmes and Right to Education Area, Giulietta Capacchione.

In the meeting of June 12, 2018, the Academic Senate approved the proposal of Extension of exam rounds to students with disabilities and Dsa (Delibera n. 214/18).

The Disabled and Dsa Affected Students Help Office

The Disabled Students Help Office is in the Rectorate’s colonnade, next to the Biblioteca Alessandrina and the Hello Centre. University students and staff can report there malfunctions of services for disabled students, which will be transmitted to the competent offices to be solved. 
Moreover, the office welcomes suggestions to improve the integration of disabled students. Finally, the office provides to students enrolled in Sapienza services to handle bureaucratic issues like registration to exams, certificates requests, enrollment and more. 

Exemptions for Disabled Students 

The exemption must be inserted on Infostud before paying the enrollment form for the first year or subsequent years.
A copy of the certificate and a valid ID must be sent to the The Disabled and Dsa Affected Students Help Office via email at: sportellodisabili@uniroma1.it.
