Postgraduate courses

Postgraduate courses are open to master's graduates to provide them with knowledge and skills suitable to practise peculiar professional activities as well as with the relevant qualifications.
Such courses are only held for the performance of activities and fields for which a professional qualification is expressly provided for by Italian law.
To obtain the diploma, students have to pass the prescribed exams and acquire a number of ECTS proportional to the duration of the programme and established by the school’s regulations. Upon completion of the programme, students are issued a postgraduate diploma.

SSM 2021 Specialisation Programmes in the Healthcare Professions - Call 2020-21

The Italian Ministry of University and Research has published the call for medical doctors to access specialisation programmes in the Healthcare Professions (PDF_in Italian.

The first part of the online application process is active from Tuesday, May 25, 2021 and closes at 3:00 pm (Italian time) on Thursday, June 3, 2021.

Questionnaire for medical trainees - in Italian

From April 9 to April 19, 2021, all medical trainees from the 2nd year of their course can access the following questionnaire on the CINECA website https://progetti-mur.cineca.it/mur/ (in Italian).
 
The questionnaire aims to monitor the quality of specialist training of medical doctors. Registration is needed. 
 

Covid-19 emergency - information for users

The Unit guarantees its services exclusively online, via email segr.specializzazione@uniroma1.it and skype segreteria.specializzazione at the following times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 am - 12:00 noon; Tuesday and Thursday 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Students can only be received by appointment.

Healthcare postgraduate courses for students enrolled in medical programmes

The Call for admission of doctors to the Healthcare Postgraduate Schools for the 2018/2019 academic year is included in the Director’s Decree no. 859, published on May 2, 2019.

The deadline for the payment of the first instalment, that was originally September 10, 2019, has been subsequently extended to September 25, 2019.
Postgraduate students have to submit their vaccination certificates within January 31, 2020 by means of the special procedure

Upon enrolment in medical postgraduate schools, candidates must access Infostud by using the “Entra con SPID” button at the Students webpage and follow the instructions, in order to give evidence that they are in possession of SPID (Sistema Pubblico Identità Digitale, Digital Identity Public System). Such access will be successfully completed and registered when candidates are able to correctly view the Infostud pages of the reserved area.

WHAT ARE SPID CREDENTIALS?
The "Sistema Pubblico di Identità Digitale" or more simply SPID is a solution allowing access to all the Public Administration online systems by means of safe credentials.

WHEN DOES A DOCTOR USE SPID CREDENTIALS?
The SPID system allows doctors a quick access to various online systems, ranging from Public Administration’s to more specific healthcare services, such as the "Sistema TS-Tessera Sanitaria", as well as to INPS and INAIL, to undersign and transmit certificates required by or issued to patients.

HOW TO APPLY FOR SPID CREDENTIALS?
To apply for SPID credentials, you are required to perform the following steps:

- indicate a valid e-mail address, the telephone number, a valid identity document (identity card, passport, driving licence, residence permit) and the National Health Insurance Card number carrying the Tax Code;
- access the SPID website;
- choose one out of the 8 identity providers, some of which supply such service free of charge.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?

No matter what provider you choose, the procedure is the same:
1) enter your personal data
2) choose your SPID credentials
3) make the “identification”.

HOW CAN I CHOOSE AMONG THE VARIOUS PROVIDERS?

When choosing the 8 providers currently indicated on the SPID website, it is possible to take various aspects into account:

- free of charge or for a consideration;
- various identification modalities (that is, the final step essential to obtain credentials); the various modalities include personal identification, identification by means of Electronic Identity Card, Service National Card, (Carta Nazionale dei Servizi, CNS), digital signature, webcam.
- various security levels.

The SPID website shows the list of the various identity provider, compared according to their features.

When submitting their qualifications to be admitted to test, candidates may declare that they participated in the first session of the 2019 national board examination; thus, they will be admitted to the competition conditional upon verification that the relating qualification has been obtained.

Instructions to register for the discussion test 

The form to register for the admission test, that may be downloaded once the registration on Infostud has been completed, is at the same time:

  • paying-in slip for the payment of the tuition fee of EUR 35.00 + stamp duty of EUR 16.00;
  • self-certification of personal data;
  • application for test admission;
  • acceptance of privacy policy.

You will be requested to enter the red code included in the call for applications

Procedure:

  • If you are not registered yet, please register
  • Access the system with your student identification number and password
  • Click on Postgraduate Schools
  • Click on Access to courses
  • Enter your data
  • Print the paying-in slip

Discussion of thesis

To undergo the final test, students have to submit the following documents to the Postgraduate Schools Sector 45 days prior to the date of the final exam established by the School (or, for students of medical postgraduate schools, 45 days prior to the expiration of their training contract):

  • application addressed to the Rector (in attachment)
  • thesis assignment sheet (in attachment), to be undersigned by the supervisor (a School’s professor) and by the School’s Director, carrying the title of thesis. Such title must match with the final one that will be included in the copy filed with the Postgraduate Schools Sector and in the certificates to be issued to students
  • evidence of the payment made for the fees for diploma by means of a paying-in slip to be printed through Infostud at Fees.

Subsequently, but at all events at least 10 days prior to the discussion of thesis, candidates have to file with the Postgraduate Schools Sector an electronic copy of the thesis, undersigned by the School’s Director.

Parchments

Postgraduates may withdraw their parchment at the Student Office of the Postgraduate Schools Sector during opening hours by taking a valid identity document.
