The Unit is responsible for:

• Management of development cooperation projects financed by Sapienza;
• Supervision, support and promotion of special international mobility and cooperation programmes with developing countries (UNESCO Chairs, World Bank, Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), MAECI, FAO, etc.);
• Census of all the initiatives carried out by Sapienza's structures and drafting of periodical reports and publications;
• Promotion of international partnerships for cooperation projects funded by public and private, national and international institutions and technical assistance, also in collaboration with the universities of the CIVIS Alliance;
• Management of specific SAR International (Scholar at Risk) projects in favour of scholars at risk, advocacy, lectures series, in collaboration with the "Università Inclusiva" Working Group;
• Promotion and support of networks and partnerships with international organisations;
• Organisation of seminars and events on issues related to development cooperation and/or international cooperation, also in collaboration with the Networks in which our University participates;
• Planning of the Area's financial resources.
