Governance
The University is headed by the Rector, who represents Sapienza for all legal purposes and guarantees its autonomy and cultural unity. A Vice Rector, Deputy Rectors, and Delegates with specific tasks assist the Rector.
The Senate is the body that directs, plans, coordinates and verifies educational and research activities. The Board of Governors, on the other hand, is responsible for administrative, financial and asset management.
The University Evaluation Committee for research and educational activities, the Interdepartmental Coordination Committee and the Audit Committee are statutory bodies with different expertise.
Working groups and committees with specific tasks of analysis, planning and management of the various institutional activities collaborate in the University governance.
