The Rector, who manages the university and legally represents Sapienza University, guaranteeing its autonomy and cultural unity, is assisted by a Senior Deputy Rector and various Deputy Rectors and Delegates responsible for specific assignments.
The Academic Senate is the body in charge of governing, planning, coordinating and verifying all educational and scientific research activities.
The Board of Directors is the body in charge of all financial matters, staff planning, and strategic guidelines, as well as supervising all activities related to the administrative, financial, and economic management, as well as the financial sustainability of the university.
The Evaluation Committee, the Council of Directors and the Board of Auditors are other bodies with a range of tasks specified by the university statute.
There also are working groups, committees and commissions which cooperate with the Sapienza Governance to carry out specific assignments related to analysis, planning and managing a range of insitutional activities.
