Scientific cooperation and Networks
In order to promote scientific and academic cooperation in the fields of research and teaching, Sapienza supports and promotes a network of national and international collaborations aimed at sharing knowledge, skills and resources.
Through these initiatives, Sapienza intends to strengthen its presence in the global research context and contribute to sustainable development, innovation and cooperation.
In particular, Sapienza promotes and supports:
- the signing of agreements and framework agreements of general interest to Sapienza, signed with institutions, public and private bodies, companies and local stakeholders, in order to develop wide-ranging scientific, technological and training collaborations and promote the implementation of joint research projects;
- the signing of international institutional agreements, signed by the Legal Representative, and inter-faculty or inter-departmental agreements, signed by Deans or Directors, with universities and research centres in countries around the world, to encourage academic mobility, scientific cooperation and the creation of knowledge networks;
- the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with supranational bodies and international organisations, aimed at promoting joint initiatives in the field of international development cooperation, training and the dissemination of the values of solidarity and sustainability;
- membership of scientific networks, partnerships and international networks, through which Sapienza actively participates in interdisciplinary projects, research platforms and academic initiatives of global significance, contributing to dialogue and the exchange of best practices between institutions;
- the activation and renewal of UNESCO Chairs, instruments of excellence that represent recognition of Sapienza's commitment to promoting research, training and cultural cooperation in areas of international importance.
