Sapienza in the international top 10 for contribution to migraine studies over the last ten years
Paolo Martelletti, Professor of Internal Medicine at the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, is among the top 10 authors worldwide who have contributed most to scientific research on migraine over the last decade. The ranking comes from a study just published in the scientific journal Annals of Palliative Medicine, in the article 'The global trends of migraine research from 2010 to 2019: a scientometric study."
The study focused on international research activities from 2010 to the end of 2019 and used statistical and quantitative analysis tools; it aims to identify new frontiers of medicine in migraine study and provide tools and guidance on the main lines of research followed so far. More generally, the data places Sapienza among the top 10 international institutions researching this field and put Italy in second place for scientific productivity, behind the United States.
