
University Concert Institution new season kicks off on September 30
On September 7, Sapienza presented the 77th season of the University concert Institution-IUC. Rector Antonella Polimeni, IUC president Rinaldo Gentile, artistic director Giovanni Alò, and IUC artistic advisor Franco Piperno, director of the Crea Sapienza Centre attendend the press conference.
Special guests were Enrico Saverio Pagano, a very young conductor and founder of the Canova Orchestra, and Marcello Panni, composer and conductor.
The season will begin with a concert entirely dedicated to Ludwig van Beethoven, scheduled for September 30 and October 1 and 2, 2021, in the Aula Magna, with the Canova Orchestra conducted by Enrico Saverio Pagano and Gloria Campaner at the piano.
The IUC 2021-22 programme offers, as usual, concerts ranging from the classical repertoire to the most prestigious avant-garde, bringing great masters and young talents to the Aula Magna, with a musical offering of great prestige within the concert programme in the capital. Students and members of the university community can purchase subscriptions and tickets at a discounted price.
