On October 26 the international agency Times Higher Education (THE) published its 2023 World University Rankings by Subject, placing Sapienza first in Italy and 43rd in the world for Arts and Humanities, an improvement of 22 places compared to the previous edition. Internationally, Law (70th) and Physical Sciences (97th) are also in the top 100. Overall, our University has improved its position in 9 out of 10 subjects compared to last year.

The ranking is structured into the following subjects: Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Clinical and Health Sciences, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Business and Economics, Education, Law, Arts and Humanities.

The same Times Higher Education agency published the 2024 edition of the World University Rankings on September 27. Sapienza ranked 181st in the world, improving its position compared to previous years (in the 2023 ranking it was in the 201-250 range).
