The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2024 (GRAS), published on Monday, November 18, 2025 by the independent organisation Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, confirmed Sapienza's results.

In particular, Sapienza ranked among the top 50 in the world in five subjects: Aerospace Engineering (20th place), Physics (21st place), Mechanical Engineering (38th place), Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Science (41st place) and Automation & Control (47th place).

Furthermore, Sapienza ranked first nationally in Physics (21st), Mechanical Engineering (38th), Telecommunication Engineering (51-75), Ecology (101-150), Psychology (101-150) and Chemistry (151-200).

The 2025 edition of GRAS ranks approximately 2,000 universities from 92 countries and regions. There are 57 disciplines and five macro-areas: Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences and Social Sciences.
