Art. 17 - EVALUATION OF ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS OBTAINED IN A NON-ITALIAN HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM AND EXAMS TAKEN AT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITIES

1.    The assessment and recognition of university cycles and periods of study undertaken in a non-Italian higher education system and of international academic qualifications is carried out by the academic bodies of the Faculties and is aimed exclusively at the pursuit of university studies.

Citizens with an international qualification who intend to enrol in a two-year Master's degree must hold an academic qualification valid for access to second-cycle university programmes in the country in which it was awarded.

The degree must have been obtained after a period of at least 15 years of schooling, of which at least three years at the university level.

The automatic equivalence of an international academic qualification with an Italian academic qualification exists only if provided for by international agreements or if the programme is EU-regulated. Those intending to enrol in a degree programme, even with a shortened degree, must follow the provisions set out in the calls for applications that regulate access to the chosen degree programmes and present the documents listed in paragraph 3 below.

2.    Application for the evaluation of an academic qualification. The application for the evaluation of an academic qualification or of exams must be submitted online within 30 days from the date of enrolment (i.e. payment of the first instalment of tuition fees) by sending a ticket to the Hello - foreign students following the procedures indicated on the university website, on the Student forms page.
