
Italian national sitting volleyball teams train at SapienzaSport's facilities
Sapienza Sports Service Centre will be the new home of the Italian National Sitting Volleyball Teams, a discipline included in the Paralympics. In Sapienza's own sports facilities, the athletes will be able to prepare for their international sporting commitments.
The news was announced at a press conference held at Sapienza on Wednesday, May 8. The collaboration between our University, the Italian Paralympic Committee and the Italian Volleyball Federation has immediate effect. In the coming weeks, the women's national sitting volleyball team, European champions, will be able to train at the facility in the Tor di Quinto district of Rome in preparation for their participation in the 17th Paralympic Games in Paris.
