On December 16, 2020, our Rectress received the Premio Donna della Fondazione Aila, a non-profit organisation that has been involved for years in campaigns to raise awareness and prevent arthrosis and osteoporosis, diseases that particularly affect women.

The prize was awarded in recognition of Antonella Polimeni's commitment to medicine and our university, first as a student and then in management positions both at Sapienza and Policlinico Umberto I General Hospital, until she was appointed Rectress on December 1, 2020.

Aila President Francesco Bove presented the prestigious award; Livia Azzariti introduced the event.
