
Carlo Tamburi appointed external member of the Sapienza Board of Governors
The Academic Senate has appointed Carlo Tamburi, Chair and CEO of Enel Italia, an Italian multinational manufacturer and distributor of electricity and gas, as an external member of the Sapienza Board of Governors
Carlo Tamburi, who graduated in Statistical Sciences from Sapienza University in 1982, was nominated from a shortlist of four candidates, selected following a public call for applications. All the candidates were qualified representatives of foundations, non-profit organisations, research funding institutions, including private ones, provided that they are not for profit or among eminent personalities from scientific research, culture and business.
Carlo Tamburi is also a member, among others, of the Energy Technical Committee of Confindustria, the main association representing manufacturing and service companies in Italy; of the Board of Directors of Fondazione MAXXI; of the Board of Directors of Aspen Institute Italia; Vice President of Elettricità Futura; Ambassador of Associazione Dynamo Camp Onlus.
