FameLab masterclass, the science competition

FameLab is an international competition taking place on 8 and 9 April, dedicated to young scientists who want to test their potential as popularisers. To mark the occasion, an open masterclass will be held on March 22 to test your techniques for a convincing presentation and to get all the information about the competition

Rome Technopole's Spoke 5 group, which deals with science dissemination and life-long learning, is promoting FameLab: an international competition for scientists, young researchers, and PhD students who want to test their ability as science populariser. The competition is aimed at people born after January 1, 1989 who work in science - either in public institutions or private organisations - and who want to tell a wide audience about the science they deal with every day.

The FameLab Roma pre-selections will take place on April 8 and 9, starting at 9.30 AM (morning and afternoon) in the CNR Conference Hall, Piazzale Aldo Moro 7, and will end with the final selection.

To mark the occasion, an open masterclass has been organised on Friday, March 22 in Room 2 of the Physics Building, with the participation of FameLab organisers and communication experts, to provide all the information about the competition and help participants develop their dissemination skills and techniques to organise an interesting and compelling presentation, especially for a lay audience.

To participate in the masterclass, it is not necessary to be already registered for the Famelab Roma selection, but registration via the link provided is required.
