Foibe Remembrance Day 2023
A day to remember the massacres and violence on Italy's eastern border at the end of World War II
February 10 is the Foibe Remembrance Day to remember the victims of the Giuliano-Dalmatian exodus from Istria, Fiume and Dalmatia that took place from the end of World War II until the early 1950s. Sapienza joins the commemoration events organised for this day in Italy.
The Main Campus' flag and other institutions' flags will be at half-mast to commemorate the suffering, mourning, uprooting and diaspora to which tens of thousands of families in the eastern border areas were forced.
