If you underline, I can't read
Sapienza launches the initiative "Se sottolinei io non leggo" (If you underline, I can't read) to raise awareness among all library users about underlining books, which is a visual barrier for people with visual impairments or Specific Learning Difficulties
On Sunday, December 3, to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Sapienza launches the initiative "Se sottolinei io non leggo" (If you underline, I can't read), which aims to inform students, lecturers and, more generally, all library users about the importance and necessity of not underlining books in terms of accessibility.
Underlining is a visual barrier for people with visual impairments or Specific Learning Difficulties (including visually impaired, blind, dyslexic people, etc.) as it does not allow text-to-speech software to work properly.
