On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, Natalino Irti, Professor of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law, donated €4,000,000 to Sapienza University to create a foundation that would promote Legal Theory Studies. Moreover, the Irti Foundation Institute for Law Studies was founded to pursue studies and scientific research at Sapienza University.

The Irti Foundation Institute for Law Studies, which will be hosted by the Faculty of Law, will be headed by Professor Irti, who will be responsible for:

• Promoting studies in Legal Theory, both as a general concept and in individual fields;
• Provide scholarships and other support to young men and women who choose this field of study.
