On March 13, 2020, the CIVIS Board of the Rectors met at Sapienza University. The event, organised remotely due to coronavirus emergency, was the final meeting in our semester of the presidency. During the meeting, all the Rectors in the Alliance expressed their gratitude to Eugenio Gaudio for his hard work. Astrid Söderbergh Widding, Rector of Stockholm University, has been appointed as President for the approaching second semester and will take office on April 1.  On March 12, 2020, the Bureau of the Board met to talk about the progress of the working groups and the common strategies for the foreseeable future. The Rectors wish for a joint work aimed at dealing with the current global medical emergency.
