A plaque to remember Dino, Marco and Maria Virginia, Medicine and Surgery students who tragically died

On Tuesday, March 2, a commemorative plaque will be unveiled at the Edificio ex Suore del Policlinico Umberto I, in perpetual memory of the students who died prematurely

On Tuesday, March 2, at 11.00 am, in the new meeting spaces for students of the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry and Pharmacy and Medicine, in the Edificio ex Suore del Policlinico Umberto I, a commemorative plaque will be unveiled in memory of three students who died prematurely.

Dino Palombizio, who had just graduated in Medicine and Surgery two days before, and Marco Niutta, who was to discuss his dissertation a few days later, died in a car crash on a stretch of motorway south of Rome. It was July 15, 2015, when they were returning from the graduation party of other university colleagues and were thrown from the car.

Maria Virginia Savoia was a fifth-year medical student, equally promising and enthusiastic. She enjoyed research and spared no energy in devoting herself to this activity, especially in the field of Gender Medicine. She died suddenly in January 2018 at her home.

The students' friends, the Rectress Antonella Polimeni, authorities of the Policlinico Umberto I and the Faculties of Medicine will be present at the event.
