
Rectress Polimeni inaugurated the new academic year of the Italian School of Advanced Training for Police Forces
On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, the new academic year of the Department of Public Security's School of Advanced Training for Police Forces was inaugurated.
Due to pandemic restrictions, the event was attended by only a few guests and the participants of the 36th Advanced Training Course. Speakers included Luciana Lamorgese, Minister of the Interior, Franco Gabrielli, Chief of Police and Director General of Public Security, Teo Luzi, Commander General of the Carabinieri, Bernardo Petralia, Director of the Department of Prison Administration and Giuseppe Vicanolo, Deputy Commander of the Guardia di Finanza (Italian finance police).
After the welcome speech by the Director of the Carabinieri General School, Giuseppe La Gala, Rectress Antonella Polimeni delivered the academic speech. Minister Lamorgese then took the floor declaring the official opening of the academic year.
The School of Advanced Training for the Police Force is the institutionally designated structure, according to a unique model in Europe, to take care, in an inter-force perspective, of the training of senior management of the State Police, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza and the Penitentiary Police.
