Salvatore Minisola of the Department of Translational and Precision Medicine at Policlinico Umberto I general hospital, working at the A&E of Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties, has been elected as a member of the European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) Board of Directors.

The election took place on Tuesday, May 4, during the ECTS Annual General Meeting. The position will run for three years, from 2021-2024.

Minisola is a full professor of Internal Medicine and a representative of the Roman school that has dealt with metabolic bone diseases since the 1960s. Author of 336 papers, he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the journal "l'Endocrinologo".

The European Calcified Tissue Society is a non-profit medical association of volunteer physicians involved in basic and clinical research. The association brings together professionals committed to promoting a multidisciplinary approach in the musculoskeletal field.
