Sapienza against male violence on women: all November 25 initiatives

The ‘Ilaria Sula’ Dissertation Award has been established and the new Code of Conduct against harassment, including moral harassment and discriminatory acts, has been approved

Sapienza University's new Codice di condotta per la tutela della dignità delle persone e per la prevenzione delle molestie (Code of Conduct for the Protection of Human Dignity and the Prevention of Harassment) was approved today, Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Approved by Sapienza's governing bodies in a joint session, the new Code will apply to all persons who study or work at our University in any capacity, even on an occasional basis.

A first and important change compared to the Code already in force since 2021 is the possibility to report acts and behaviour constituting harassment suffered in the context of study or work relationships, even outside Sapienza's premises and in any form, including online. The document lists in detail the types of behaviour that constitute sexual harassment and introduces a specific article on moral harassment.
