Sapienza and Italian Air Force together for research on space and air transport
The development of enabling technologies and physiological studies for human flight as part of the major human space exploration programmes, experiments in biology and medicine in zero gravity, applications of space services to telemedicine, enabling technologies for the advancement of aeronautics, and satellite traffic control in space are just some of the topics discussed during the meeting between Rectress Antonella Polimeni, and the Chief of General Staff of the Italian Air Force, General Alberto Rosso.
The meeting also highlighted possible scenarios for cooperation between institutions to strengthen actions against the spread of the pandemic, which involve Sapienza at the highest level and can count on the logistical and organisational capabilities of the Air Force.
Over 1,500 students are enrolled in Sapienza aerospace engineering degree programmes, at the top of international rankings in this sector.
