The European Commission has appointed, as part of the ERC Consolidator Grant, Giorgio Piras as Senior Visiting Member of the research team coordinated by Valentina Arena at the University College of London, winner of funding in 2019 for Project “Ordering, Constructing, Empowering: Fragments of the Roman Republican Antiquarians” (FRRAnt).  

FRRAnt, which aims to establish a new method for the systematic elaboration of knowledge on religious and institutional organisations in the Ancient Roman Republic, will see the close collaboration of Giorgio Piras, Director of the Department of Antiquities, even during the editorial phase of the project as a Member of the Editorial Team.

The project, financed with €1900, will begin in September 2020 and will last five years.
