On October 18, Sapienza will hold “Sapienza’s Memory – Racism, Discrimination, Apartheid” to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s birth and reflect on events ranging from the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s assassination to the 80th anniversary of the Italian Racial Laws enacted by the Fascist Regime. The event will be attended by teachers and students from Rome's high schools.
