World's first trachea transplant in a post-COVID-19 patient: follow the press conference in Italian

On Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 12.30 pm, the Sapienza's Aula Magna, Rectorate Building, will be hosting a press conference in Italian to present an innovative transplant operation, the first in the world on a post-COVID-19 patient, carried out at the Sant'Andrea University Hospital
On Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 12.30 pm, the Sapienza's Aula Magna, Rectorate Building, will be hosting a press conference in Italian to present an innovative transplant operation, the first in the world on a post-COVID-19 patient. Damage to the patient due to invasive ventilation techniques during their illness resulted in a narrowing of the trachea that almost completely prevented them from breathing, making surgery necessary.
