Digital Cardiovascular Medicine, Pathology, And Cutting-edge Therapeutics
The main objective of the International PhD Program DigiCardioPaTh is to train researchers expert in cardiovascular diseases, able to broaden the knowledge of applied artificial intelligence, to identify innovative diagnostic and therapeutic solutions to complex problems, through the implementation of miniaturized equipment for the tele-monitoring and follow-up of treated patients. Point of excellence of DigiCardioPaTh is the institution of an international network that allows the PhD student to benefit from an inter-disciplinary and transnational approach, also through a minimum 1-year period of stay in other agreed campi of the consortium. The organization of the PhD course in curricula entails that the PhD student can obtain an in-depth knowledge of super-specialized topics through educational modules held by renowned national and international experts focused on methodologies based on the latest scientific evidence. The curriculum endovascular and structural cardiac intervention aims to provide an in-depth knowledge on the most advanced endovascular technique to diagnose and guide the treatment of complex cardiovascular diseases. To the PhD students will be provided the notions to develop new and more sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic algorhythm also through the application of machine learning; the curriculum cardiomyopathies and arrhythmias aims at optimize the diagnosis and treatment of the different types of cardiomyopathies (dilated, hypertrophic, hypertensive, arrhythmic, etc.) through an in-depth knowledge of techniques for clinical screening, genetic, bio-humoral and diagnostic, as well as through the appropriate management of tele-monitoring; the curriculum advanced non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, deeply linked to the 2 previous curricula, will specifically focus on training the PhD student on non-invasive diagnostic techniques and to provide the tools to develop new diagnostic algorhythm or applications based on identified un-met clinical needs.
