Incoming students - Procedures BEFORE arrival
Overseas Program
- Students are selected by their own University with at least one year completed at the University;
- Our partner Universities will send us the students' nomination;
- All students will be registered in our database and will receive a login code.
- Soon after receiving the login code, students are supposed to access their personal page and fill out all the relevant fields for their applications. They will have to upload the following documents: Passport, Curriculum Vitae, Transcript of Records, Proof of Language (Italian or English - Level B1/B2) and Learning Agreement (Study plan). These documents are necessary in order to be evaluated and accepted by our Academic Staff;
- Once your registration on our database will be completed, you will receive a registration number (= matricola). The Matricola number will be useful to access the Infostud where you will be supposed to register for the exams during the exams' session (more information about Infostud).
- We will then ask our Academic Staff to evaluate your profiles;
- Accepted students will be informed via e-mail about their invitation letter;
- The invitation letter will be uploaded on your personal page and you will be able to download it from there.
Erasmus+ ICM
- Our partner Universities will send us the nomination through our online portal,
- All students will be registered in our database and will receive a login code.
- Soon after receiving the login code, you're supposed to access your personal page and fill out all the relevant fields. Be sure to upload all the necessary documents in order to be evaluated by our Academic Staff.
- We will then ask our Academic Staff to evaluate your profiles.
- Admitted students will be informed via e-mail and will receive an invitation to join a Google Group* and will receive a registration number (= matricola). The Matricola number will be useful to access the Infostud where you will be supposed to register for the exams during the exams' session (more information about Infostud).
- The invitation letter will be uploaded on your personal page and you will be able to download it from there.
If you're selected, then here's a few instructions:
a. The amount of your scholarship is of €850 per full month.
b. To get your visa to enter Italy (if required in your country of origin): we will upload your letter of invitation on your personal page and send the original of such letter via registered post to our Italian Consulate in your country of origin. To prepare such letter you absolutely need to upload your passport on your personal online page. Please, do so if you did not manage to upload it earlier.
Please, also note that the passport must expire later than 6 months from the required entry date.
c. For travel arrangements, you should buy your ticket (roundtrip ticket) by yourself. We will reimburse you the cost of the ticket according to the travel distance calculator from your country (departure from the town where your university is located) to Rome.
These are the distances (png). Distances are calculated according to a Distance Calculator of the European Commission available at: http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/tools/distance_en.htm.
All expenses exceeding the amounts indicated in the table will not be refunded. The refund will be assigned only once together with the first installment of the scholarship.
d. Please, be sure to enter all the required information on your personal page because all the data will automatically be inserted on your contract. Please, check your contract by downloading it from your personal page; you will then sign it once in Rome.

Both documents (contract and LA) need to be signed by you, while the LA needs to be signed also by your institutional coordinator at your university of origin before you arrive in Rome.
f. Please, be aware of your rights and duties by downloading this document.
g. For Zero EU-Grant students, please, follow the same indications as all other scholarship holders.

*All the information regarding the procedures, your arrival, your stay in Rome and your departure, will be sent to the Google Group: be sure to join it as soon as possible!
Double Degrees

- Accepted students will be registered in our database and will receive a login code.
- Soon after receiving the login code, students are supposed to access their personal page and fill out all the relevant fields for their applications. They will have to upload the following documents: Passport, Curriculum Vitae, Transcript of Records, Proof of Language (Italian or English - Level B1/B2) and Learning Agreement (Study plan) and Embassy (please select it only if you need the invitation letter for VISA purpose).
- Once your registration on our database will be completed, you will receive a registration number (= matricola). The Matricola number will be useful to access the Infostud where you will be supposed to register for the exams during the exams' session (more information about Infostud).
- The invitation letter/acceptance letter will be uploaded on your personal page and you will be able to download it from there. If you selected the Embassy, the invitation letter will be sent via certified e-mail to the Embassy as well.

VISA
European citizens only need a personal identification document to travel in Italy.
Non-EU Citizens who intend to enter the territory of the Italian Republic for transit or for a long stay need an entry VISA, with the only exception of those citizens whose countries signed special agreements with Italy (https://www.esteri.it/en/servizi-consolari-e-visti/ingressosoggiornoinit...)
Should the Embassy request to register to Universitaly in order to obtain the VISA please apply through it. Sapienza will then validate the application.
