MAECI Call– Annual contribution for the implementation of joint research projects (PGR) approved in the Protocolli Esecutivi di Cooperazione Scientifica e Tecnologica Bilaterale (Ex. Fin. 2026)

MAECI has published a call (in Italian) inviting annual applications for co-funding of existing research projects included in the bilateral Programmi Esecutivi di Cooperazione Scientifica e Tecnologica in force in 2026 (P.E.), agreed between Italy and partner countries and available on the following page (in Italian).

Please note: the call for proposals does not fund new projects and does not provide for a new scientific evaluation.

Only the PI of a project currently underway may apply, provided that:

• it has already been selected and funded under bilateral calls for proposals;
• it is listed in a MAECI/MUR Executive Programme valid for 2026;
• it has received a project code from MAECI/MUR.

Other types not included in the above cases are not eligible (e.g. PRIN, ERC, Horizon Europe, PNRR, collaboration agreements between individual universities or multilateral projects, etc.).

Applications must be submitted online via the ministry portal (in Italian) by 12 noon (CET) on February 6, 2026, using the project code that each scientific coordinator will receive by email.
