Sapienza for the memory of the Holocaust

Sapienza, in its tradition of liberal studies, considers a commitment to the memory of the Holocaust as vital. Nobel laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel spoke of a "transfusion of memory": a great university takes up the challenge of memory, in this case, "tradition", since the Latin verb tradere also means to pass something on from one generation to the next. The path taken by Sapienza aims to create an interdisciplinary network of approaches to the memory of the Holocaust also in the direction of promoting respect for people in every context.
