Sapienza - Vista aerea della Città Universitaria

Getting here, maps and information

Sapienza University is based in Rome and in the Lazio region. The Main Campus is located on Piazzale Aldo Moro 5. In addition to the Main Campus, faculties and departments carry out their activities in various locations throughout the city. There are also two branches in other provinces of Lazio, in Latina and Rieti, where programmes and research projects are carried out, with particular reference to the specific vocations of the corresponding territories.

The combination of teaching and research activities of Sapienza's medical faculties and healthcare activities is achieved through two university hospitals: Policlinico Umberto I General Hospital and Sant'Andrea Hospital.

The Main Campus - Città Universitaria

The Main Campus, designed by a group of leading 20th-century architects coordinated by Marcello Piacentini and inaugurated in 1935, is a veritable city within a city, where educational activities are integrated with a series of administrative and reception facilities, libraries and museums. It is located in Piazzale Aldo Moro in the San Lorenzo district, a few minutes' walk from Termini station and not far from Tiburtina station. Not far away is the modern Castro Laurenziano campus.
