Sapienza, Federmanager, Unitelma Sapienza and the Federmanager Academy Undersign Agreement
The agreement amongst Sapienza University, Unitelma Sapienza, Federmanager and the Federmanager Academy represents the meeting of the world of academia with industry. The collaboration agreement undersigned by the four institutions aims to develop advanced training and professional updating courses for private and public-private managers who wish to bolster their knowledge and competences through lifelong learning activities.
The framework agreement signed today by Sapienza Rector Eugenio Gaudio, Federmanager PresidentStefano Cuzzilla, Unitelma Sapienza Rector Antonello Folco Biagini and the President of Federmanager Academy, Gianluca Schiavi, presents an interdisciplinary academic programme comprising Law, Economics, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and Sciences that will be available through both traditional and e-learning lessons. University professors from a variety of interested faculties and external experts from the world of enterprise and management will hold the courses.
The objective of the framework agreement between a public university and private organisations is to provide the necessary education for Associate Managers at Federmanager, which represents ca. 180,000 industrial directors, managers and highly skilled workers in the industrial sector. After attending the courses, managers receive a participation certificate and legally recognised educational credits.
“Thanks to the convergence between the excellence of the foremost Italian university and our long industrial tradition, we are happy to provide Italian managers with a unique educational opportunity providing a useful synthesis of knowledge and know-how, knowledge and experience,” points out Federmanager President Stefano Cuzzilla. “I hope that our colleagues will take advantage of this great opportunity. Dedicating time and energy to professional updating is an imperative for anyone with managerial responsibilities.”
“The partnership that we signed today with Federmanager, Unitelma Sapienza and Federmanager Academy is part of the greater initiatives that our university has begun to reinforce its commitment for advanced training,” emphasizes Rector Eugenio Gaudio. “It is an efficient tool to promote the growth of all the professionals who contribute to the economic and cultural development of our country.”
The initiative will be managed through a committee composed of Sapienza RectorEugenio Gaudio, Federmanager President Stefano Cuzzilla, Unitelma Sapienza Rector Antonello Biagini, the President of the Federmanager Academy, Gianluca Schiavi, and Professor Gianluca Maria Esposito as Scientific Director. The Committee will analyse the needs of enterprises and the labour market, even at the international one, and identify ad hoc educational actions based on individual needs.

It is an excellent example of synergy between the public and private sphere,” declared Federmanager Academy President Gianluca Schiavi. “We have been working to develop courses on managerial skills for a long time now. Doing this together with faculty from Sapienza and Unitelma will give tangible added value to today’s managers that are facing increasingly complex business challenges.”
