In order to promote scientific and academic cooperation, Sapienza supports and promotes a network of national and international collaborations aimed at sharing knowledge, skills and resources.
Through these initiatives, Sapienza intends to strengthen its presence in the global research context and contribute to sustainable development, innovation and scientific cooperation.

Development cooperation
Sapienza is part of CUCS (Coordinamento Universitario per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo) with the task of promoting, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, degree programmes and education, training, planning and research programmes. Sapienza promotes teaching and research agreements with global partners such as FAO and MAECI, participates in networks and programmes for the protection of academic freedom and, since 2009, has been funding project initiatives with developing countries.
