The Start-up aims to enhance the communication of cultural heritage using highly scientific technology to improve the traditional model of communicating cultural assets

Janus is the result of a project by the Department of History, Representation and Restoration of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome. It aims to enhance the communication of cultural heritage using highly scientific technologies to improve the traditional model of communicating cultural assets. The start-up, by using technologies, skills, competences and experience acquired in the academic context, aims to provide excellent products and services in the field of digitisation and virtual tourism to a specialised public and private markets, such as museums, superintendencies, municipalities and foundations. The product lines guarantee a high degree of customisation based on the client's needs and the analysis of the end-user and can be integrated and summarised in the definition of virtual reconstructions (virtual panoramas, historical reconstructions, 3D reproductions, VR, AR, virtual museums).

Eleven people, including a team of young PhD students and Master's graduates from the Department of History, Representation and Restoration of Architecture of Sapienza, are involved in this new project coordinated by Graziano Mario Valenti. They take care of several different phases from design to production and marketing of innovative products that provide new value and new meaning to virtual reconstructions of cultural heritage.
