Despite the increased organisational complexity due to the health emergency, there was only a 4.8% decrease compared to the 1,390 operations in 2019

In addition, since the facility guarantees each patient a fast and safe path, only two COVID-19 cases were registered throughout 2019.

Doctors, nurses, the administrative and auxiliary staff of the Thoracic Surgery Unit deserve much credit for this result. Their dedication and humanity combined exceptional numbers with the full psychological and clinical satisfaction of the patients operated.
