
Cwur 2021 ranking: Sapienza first in Italy
Sapienza University is, once again, first in Italy, according to the Center for World University Rankings (Cwur), published on April 26, 2021. Our University is 113th worldwide and among the Top 0.6% of the approximately 20 thousand universities surveyed.
The overall score for Sapienza is 81.2 and is based on 7 indicators, 4 of which are related to Research Performance, the best result for Sapienza. The other criteria considered by the Cwur are Quality of Faculty, Quality of Education and Alumni Employment. The 2021-2022 ranking confirms the first three positions worldwide, respectively assigned to Harvard University, followed by MIT in Boston and Stanford University. In Italy, after Sapienza, we find Padua (165th position), Milan (175th position) and Bologna (176th position).
The Center for World University Rankings, based in the United Arab Emirates, has been publishing its rankings since 2012. It assesses the quality of teaching, graduate employment, academic staff level, and research performance without requiring any information from universities. The Cwur now evaluates 2,000 universities worldwide out of approximately 20,000 monitored.
