The Financial Programming, Expense Authorisation and Budget Variations Sector manages and coordinates all activities related to economic-financial programming, budget definition and authorized expenses, budget variations and administrative procedures for organizational area budgets, as well as the preparation of accounting documents for financial accounting.

In particular, this sector manages:

• Definition of the budget and authorised expenses by organisational areas;
• Preparation of the annual and multi-annual budgets and financial accounting documents, as well as SIOPE management;
• Budget variations;
• Budget provisions to cover costs of management areas on individual budgets following assessment and evaluation of financial availability;
• Management of budget reassignment within the central administration;
• Relations with the Board of Auditors.
