Sapienza launches the "CIVIS Open Labs- FARO SAPIENZA" call, with the aim of promoting the ongoing and strategic commitment that Sapienza dedicates to its social and civic reference context, especially in terms of public engagement, and to foster consolidated Sapienza experiences on active promotion of cultural heritage, with the aim of giving them a supranational and European dimension. Inspired by the participatory and democratic values of the "Convenzione sul valore del patrimonio culturale per la società" adopted by the Council of Europe in 2005.

It is addressed to those responsible for outreach initiatives (Terza Missione) for the protection and promotion of cultural heritage, already established within the framework of the Terza Missione, also including projects already funded, completed or in progress within the framework of the various calls for proposals of the Terza Missione of Sapienza.

In particular, CIVIS Open Lab - FARO SAPIENZA funds initiatives in the following areas:

1. Building a society based on respect for human rights and the principles of participatory democracy, promoting cultural diversity, inclusion and the practice of non-violence;
2. Actions to improve access to cultural heritage, with urban and architectural regeneration interventions that initiate processes of economic, political, social and cultural development and land-use planning, particularly for young people and people in disadvantaged areas;
3. initiatives to promote care, concern for others and the creation of well-being, including through the enjoyment of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
