Cyber 4.0 and Cicero and Cyber 4.0 and Match 4.0 signed their agreements on June 9, 2020. Cyber 4.0 is a highly specialized Competence Center headquartered at Sapienza, Cicero is the Digital Innovation Hub of Lazio which refers to Unindustria, Federlazio and Cna, and Match 4.0 is the Digital Innovation Hub based at Confindustria Abruzzo. The agreements aim to share with Lazio and Abruzzo SMEs (Small and medium-sized enterprises) cybersecurity skills developed and present among the founding partners of the Competence Centre.
"The alliance creates a direct link between universities and companies for technological innovation" - says Teodoro Valente, president of Cyber 4.0 and Prorector for Research at Sapienza - "our starting point is to raise awareness of the opportunities offered by digital technology, by sharing our know-how with the territory, and successively tailor specific solutions to increase individual companies' productivity and efficiency".
Its aim is to stimulate the demand for innovation from companies, trying to intercept their needs with the support of Cicero DiH Lazio and Match4.0 Abruzzo. The main point is also to provide basic training on 4.0 technologies through the expertise of Cyber 4.0, to propose exhibitions, orientation activities, workshops, and support for the analysis of production processes and identification of digital needs. The guided Competence Center Project is part of the National Enterprise Plan 4.0, promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development, which provides guidance and training centres for companies.
Their purpose is to provide support in the implementation of innovation, industrial research and experimental development projects so as to help companies, especially SMEs, create and improve new products, processes or services through advanced technologies. In particular, the Competence Center Cyber 4.0 with Sapienza as lead partner was created to offer services and skills aimed at cybersecurity and its further variations such as e-health, automotive and space sectors, each of them strongly represented in the Lazio and the Abruzzo Regions.
