“Statistics for The Study of Gender Equality. Methods and Tools to Implement Gender Sensitive Indicators” is the first summer school in Central Asia financed by Sapienza Cooperation Funds

Sapienza has co-financed the first Summer School on “Gender Economics” in Central Asia. The course will be held at the Tashkent Institute of Finance, in Uzbekistan, on July 2-6, 2019.

The objective of the summer school is to increase the opportunities for scientists and researchers in Uzbekistan to identify and evaluate aspects of gender in economics and the socio-economic impact of gender policy on society. The course will help participants to improve their ability to address gender equality in the economic aspect from both a practical and theoretical point of view and increase the statistical competences in data analysis.

Professor Marcella Corsi and Susanna Levantesi and Giulia Zacchia from the Department of Statistics at the Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics participated in the course.

The initiative was sponsored by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Permanent Norwegian Delegation.
