Sapienza reinforces its counselling services for quality, fair and inclusive university education
Rectress Antonella Polimeni and the Academic Senate approved an important action to reorganise and strengthen Sapienza's psychological counselling services. As shown by research and many studies, the emergence and exacerbation of disorders, anxieties or emotional difficulties increase the risk of academic failure, dropout, and various forms of challenges in carrying out work activities, both in-person and remotely.
Sapienza's unprecedented investment in psychological counselling services, which has made more than €500,000 available, has the fundamental goal of responding rapidly and convincingly to these needs in order to support and promote psychological wellbeing and activate pathways for overcoming distress, to make our University increasingly accessible and ready to offer a quality, fair and inclusive university education.
